NOT EVERYTHING BECOMES A BOOK.
Some thoughts need 150 pages. Others manage with a single sentence.
This is where observations, questions and connections end up that emerge somewhere between the books. About perception and reality. About what happens between people. About society, culture and the sometimes rather strange things our minds make of the world.
Not every thought needs an answer.
Some become more interesting if you leave them alone for a while.
THE WORLD IS BIGGER THAN YOUR FRAME.
PERCEPTION

Du siehst etwas.
You see something.
So it’s there.
Perhaps the problem only begins when that quietly turns into something else:
So I know what’s there.
A small difference.
With surprisingly large consequences.
YOU JUST WANTED TO THINK ABOUT IT FOR A MOMENT.
EVERYDAY LIFE

That was Tuesday.
Since then, the matter has been considered from several perspectives, reassessed, provisionally resolved, reopened and subjected to a surprisingly thorough quality review at 2:17 in the morning.
The original question was actually quite small.
OUCH.
ENCOUNTER

Ouch.
You hurt me.
It’s your fault.
Three fairly short sentences.
And yet something remarkable happened along the way: a sensation became an explanation. The explanation acquired a cause. And suddenly, it’s no longer just about something having hurt.
SOMETIMES NORMAL IS JUST WHAT ENOUGH PEOPLE HAVE GOTTEN USED TO.
SOCIETY

Normality makes a pretty convincing entrance.
It rarely walks in and says:
Hello. I’m an agreement that quite a lot of people around here happen to share.
It feels more like:
That’s just how things are.
Until you end up somewhere where they aren’t.
MAYBE METAL WAS NEVER TOO LOUD.
CULTURE

Maybe we just weren’t listening properly.
Peace. War. Power. Alienation. Inequality. Anger. The question of who we are – and what exactly we’re doing to one another.
The themes had been there all along.
At some point, they simply got distorted guitars.
WHAT ELSE?
Not every thought fits into a category. With humans, that should hardly come as a surprise.
So there will be more here.
Short things and long things. Serious things and fairly unnecessary ones. Observations from everyday life, music, images, small experiments in perception and questions that may or may not be going anywhere.
Maybe they don’t always have to.
